Privacy Policy — Offroad Peaks

Last updated: October 19, 2026

In short: Offroad Peaks has no accounts and never asks for your email or any other personal information. Your progress, and the leaderboard name you may type in, are saved on your own device only. To improve the game it sends anonymous gameplay statistics (for example, how far up the mountain you got and how smoothly the game ran) to our own self-hosted analytics server. They cannot be used to identify you.

1. Who we are

Offroad Peaks is a browser game developed by Dmitrii Ryzhik (“we”, “us”). The game is published on Poki.com. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at dimaryzhik@gmail.com.

2. Information we do not collect

3. Data stored on your device

The game uses your browser’s local storage to remember your progress and settings: your best time, coins, garage upgrades, the colour of your car, graphics, sound and volume settings, and your row in the leaderboard. This data stays in your browser and is not sent to us. You can delete it at any time with “Reset progress” in the game menu or by clearing your browser’s site data.

Leaderboard name. After your first finish the game offers to type a name for the leaderboard. The name is optional, is kept only in your browser’s local storage and is never sent to us, to Poki or to anyone else; the leaderboard you see is generated on your device. Please do not type your real name or other personal information there.

The analytics described in section 4 also keeps a random identifier in local storage. “Reset progress” keeps it (it is not game progress); clearing your browser’s site data removes it.

4. Gameplay analytics (self-hosted)

To find out where the game is too hard, too easy or too slow, the game sends gameplay events to our own analytics server at analytics.ryzhik-games.duckdns.org. We run this server ourselves; no third-party analytics service receives the data. The server is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany (European Union), which only provides the hosting and does not use the data.

What the game sends. Events are sent in small batches while you play and when you leave the page. Each event contains only:

What we do not collect. No names, email addresses, accounts, precise or approximate location, contacts, photos, advertising identifiers or cookies. We do not combine the data with other sources, do not track you across other websites or apps and do not try to identify players. Your IP address is necessarily visible to the server when a request arrives; it is kept only in memory, for up to about a minute, to limit abuse (rate limiting), and is never written to disk, logged or stored with the events.

How we use it and who sees it. We use the events only to improve the game: its route, difficulty, controls and performance. Only our small development team has access to them. We do not sell, rent or share them and do not use them for advertising.

How long we keep it. Events are deleted automatically 24 months after they were recorded.

5. Poki

When you play on Poki.com, Poki provides the website, the advertisements and its own statistics through the Poki SDK. This is handled by Poki under the Poki Privacy Statement, which also describes the choices available to you there.

6. Children

Offroad Peaks is suitable for children. Because the game never asks for personal information, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children or anyone else. If you believe a child has sent us personal information (for example by email), contact us and we will delete it.

7. Your choices and rights

Because the statistics we collect are anonymous, we cannot connect them to you. You can delete everything stored on your device as described in section 3. To have the analytics events of your browser deleted, send us the value stored in local storage under offroad.analytics-id and we will delete all events linked to it. Depending on where you live (for example, in the European Union or the United Kingdom), you may have additional rights regarding your data; if you want to exercise them or have any concerns, email us and we will help.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the game changes. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
